Pt 1 of 3, Christopher hosts Richard Capriola, author of “The Addicted Child’s” A Parent’s Guide to Adolescent Substance Abuse” In this segment we discuss Mr. Capriola’s background.  He has a wealth of experience and knowledge dealing with this topic.  His experience has found that many different things  draw kids into abusing substances.  Some kids use substances to medicate an underlying anxiety and some are just using for the purpose of experimentation.  We talk about substance use disorder.  We talk about the education community and medical community in relationship to helping with this issue.  We talk about short term and long term effects of marijuana.
