Weaponizing your non-custodial biological parent.  This might be a resource when all else has failed.  If the biological parent doesn’t live in the home, you may be able to shovel information to them and have them have special talks with your stepchildren.  This has proved to be a useful tool to help change behavior.  Children have a love affair with their biological parents.  This is how it should be but in the life of a stepparent you need to utilize all the resources that you have to help create positive behaviors that will create lifetime positive behaviors for your children.  I am excited and I want you to be excited because this is a win win for everyone.
